Special Issue: From Stress to Strength: Psychology's Approach to College Life Challenges
Vol. 2 No. 1 (2024)EDITOR’S NOTE
Stress to Strength: Psychology’s approach to College Life Challenges
Welcome to from “Stress to Strength: Psychology’s approach to College Life Challenges” a collection of insightful and inspiring chapters that delve into the multifaceted journey from experiencing stress to building strength. In this volume, we aim to explore the diverse mechanism through which individuals and communities transform challenges into opportunities for growth, healing and empowerment.
In today’s fast paced and often tumultuous world, stress has become an almost ubiquitous element of daily life. Whether, stemming from personal, professional or societal sources, the impact of stress can be profound and far reaching. However, withing the stress lies the potential for strength, an opportunity to develop resilience and a deeper understanding of oneself and others.
The book brings together a diverse group of authors, each contributing their perspectives and expertise on the subject. Through empirical research and theoretical explorations our contributions examined the transformative processes that lead to strength.
Our chapters cover a wide range of topics, including, Cyberbullying, Inclusive education, mental health stigma, career anxiety, online dating, internet addiction, views on non binary identities, healthcare pathways, self-concealment, love bombing, AR-VR in mental health and economies of time management.
Each chapter offers valuable insights and practical strategies that readers can apply in their own lives or professional practices.
We are deeply grateful to our contributors for their dedication and for sharing their knowledge and experiences. Their work not only enriches our understanding of the problems but also inspires hope and action. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our readers, who we hope will find this book a valuable resource in their own journeys from stress to strength.
As an editor, I am honored to present this collection and contribute to the ongoing dialogue on college life challenges. It is my belief that by understanding and harnessing the power of strength, we can better navigate the complexities of college life challenges and emerge stronger, more capable and more connected.
